The Vancouver Police Museum Experience

Set in the heart of Old Vancouver, between the historic neighbourhoods of Chinatown and Gastown, the VPMA offers a one-of-a-kind experience. The museum is located in the heritage building that once housed the City of Vancouver's Coroner’s Court, Morgue and Autopsy Facility, and the original City Analyst's Laboratory.

Home to over 30,000 rare artefacts, photos and archival documents, including unique crime related evidence and innovative forensics. The museum's exhibits tell stories of crime, justice and policing in the City's history, from its beginnings in the lawless "Wild West" to its current-day initiatives for the community.

Thursday - Saturday:  10am - 5pm

Sunday:  12pm - 5pm

Closed Monday - Wednesday
& Statutory Holidays.

The museum is located in a heritage building, which regrettably does not have an elevator or wheelchair access. There are 4 steps outside to the front door of the building, and 2.5 flights of stairs inside up to the museum.

Museum restrooms are also not wheelchair accessible. Those with mobility concerns should call the museum at 604.665.3346 or email us at
