Checking YouTube last week, we came across this little jem. It’s a music video filmed in the building that later became our own Police Museum. The band, Images in Vogue, used the autopsy space, the morgue and the courtroom for the video. The courtroom in the video is now our main gallery… only a few clues as to its original use survive. (When you visit the museum, look for evidence of the judge’s bench and the jury box. it’s there, just not instantly obvious.)
Of course, we’ve been involved in dozens of other productions over the years. Rumour has it that both 21 Jump Street and MacGuyver used the courtroom in the early/mid-80′s. More recently, we’ve participated in the filming of X-Files, Millennium, Masters of Horror, Smallville, Butterfly on a Wheel, Fido, Reaper, Fantastic Four, X-Men, jPod, Dragon Boys and more. For some, we rented one of our spaces, for others we rented some of our many props. One of the longest relationships we had was with DaVinci’s Inquest; most of the items in DiVinci’s office came from our museum.
In the next month, we have two more productions filming at the museum and undoubtedly many more to come in the future. We’re just puting the finishing touches on a new package to further promote ourselves to the local Film Industry. When that’s done, I’ll post some of the highlights…. Hopefully we can find some examples of our museum in action!

I think youtube is all at once the most wonderful and horrifying place of the internet ( you can tell I do not travel far from my cyber-mountain.) so much good and beautiful music, video and information, and then such ridiculous and vapid postings. It is proof that not everyone should be allowed to have a camera ( or access to spandex shorts for that matter)
here from Tanya’s. Netchick would NEVER wear Spandex

What??? “Netchick would NEVER wear Spandex” – hehehe… apparently David didn’t see my blog post about my half marathon just last month
I do, in fact, wear spandex quite regularly. Not out beyond the workout in the gym, tho.
Neat video — looks like a fun day!

Images in Vogue was one of my favorite bands as I was growing up in the 80s. I’d give my eye teeth to find any of their material for sale on a CD…my old tapes aren’t aging well, and I’ve pretty much worn them out over the years.
What a cool connection to your building! I need to start paying more attention when I watch television. I think it’s one of the reasons I’m enjoying the new CTV series, Flashpoint, so much: the way they unabashedly use Toronto as a backdrop makes every episode an exploratory adventure.
Tanya sent me across town to say hi. Wonderful to cross charged particles with you again, Chris.
