This scholarship was established in 1998 in honour of Vancouver’s former Police Chief Raymond J. Canuel. Awards are presented every year to exceptional Grade 12 students with plans to enter the policing field.
Application Requirements
All graduating high school students who clearly demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in the policing field are invited to apply.
To apply, please forward the following to the Vancouver Police Museum:
- Sealed official statement of grades
- Proof of acceptance to a recognized post-secondary educational institution
- 3 Reference letters
- Personal resume highlighting community service and extra-curricular activities
- A 500 word essay explaining your decision to enter the policing field
