School Program: Mini Police Academy

A fun way to introduce your young students to the role of the police in the community. Suitable for Kindergarten to Grade 3.

Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, the police are on the job in our city. This new program explores the sorts of work a police officer performs while on duty. In addition, students will learn what they can do to help the police do their job and how to keep themselves safe. This is an interactive program with age-appropriate activities that include storytelling, arts & crafts, puzzles, a scavenger hunt and role-playing.

This program is led by a museum educator and is two hours in length; the cost for this program is $6.50 per student. (One chaperone will be admitted at no charge for each five participants. Additional chaperones will be charged $5/person.) ESL activity and vocabulary sheets are available upon request.

Please contact the museum or use our online booking form to book a visit.
