Financial Donations

We are looking for donors and you’re our number one suspect!

The Vancouver Police Museum has enormous potential for growth and development.  Originally established in 1986 by a group of dedicated volunteers, the museum has become one of Vancouver’s most unique educational attractions.  Located in the historic Coroner’s Court in the heart of the downtown eastside, the museum is home to a collection of over 20,000 artifacts, photographs and archival documents dating from the 1860s to the present.

Over the past five years, museum attendance has increased six-fold – we now see over 21,000 visitors annually. Our school programs have grown in both capacity and scope – over 43,800 students have participated in these programs.

Help us realize our mission of providing a unique educational opportunity for people to explore the history, tactics and challenges of the Vancouver Police Department both past and present by donating to the museum.

Donors receive valuable benefits, including;

  • Recognition as a concerned community member and an active participant in crime prevention education and heritage preservation
  • Certificate of appreciation
  • Tax benefits
  • Subscription to museum newsletter

Your donation will be used to help preserve and promote the history of the Vancouver Police Department and to educate students from throughout the Lower Mainland through our school programs.

We accept donations both online (through Canada Gives) and by postal mail.
