Educational Programs

The Vancouver Police Museum offers educational programs designed to compliment the science and social studies curriculum for students in grades 4-12, ESL classes, university students, day camps and other groups. Our programs include:

Forensic Science

In this program, students have the opportunity to solve a crime by examining and testing various pieces of evidence, duplicating the work of a police identification unit.

The cost for this program is $8.50 per student. (Teachers and chaperons are free.) Click here for more information.

"Walking The Beat" Walking Tour

This program takes students on a tour of the oldest parts of Vancouver, looking at how the early history of the city has influenced (and been influenced by) the Vancouver Police Department. Particular attention will be given to crimes of vice.

Museum Tour

The cost for this program is offered to groups of 10 or more; or for a minimum fee.  Contact us for more information.

Adult ESL Groups

Our programs are suitable for ESL groups of many ability levels. We are also happy to provide vocabulary support materials beforehand. Click here for more information.

Mini Police Academy

This new program is specially designed for students in grades K-3 and focuses on the role of the police in the community, personal safety and crime prevention themes. The cost for this program is $7.50 per student. Click here for more information.
