Info for the Party Organizer

The Room

The party will happen in several different parts of the museum. We will start with an introduction and brief explanation of behaviour expectations at the museum, followed by a short museum tour showing some of the age-appropriate highlights on display. Most of the program time will be spent on activities relevant to the program. At the end of the program, tables will be set up in the museum main gallery for food and presents, if needed.

Bringing Food

There is no kitchen facility at the Police Museum and we also do not have a refrigerator. Please plan accordingly.

You may bring food to the museum for the party, as long as your food choice isn’t messy and has been approved by museum staff.

Dropping Off and Picking Up Children

Your party time begins as stated on your event contract. Please ask all children attending the party to arrive on time, as any time spent waiting for late arrivals may take away from your program time. Parents dropping off children are asked to check in at the admissions desk in the gift shop and wait with their child in the main hallway until the party organizer is present. Your Museum host will meet you in the main hallway at your designated start time.

Children may be picked up at the end of the event in the main hallway. Children who are late being picked up are the responsibility of the party organizer. If you know a child will be arriving late or picked up early, please inform your Museum host. We will do our best to accommodate these needs.

Visiting the Museum

You and your guests are welcome to visit the museum galleries the day of the party. We ask for at least 1 adult for every 5 children.  Additional adults are welcome to attend, but will be charged a discounted admission rate of $5.00.

Goodie Bags

The museum has many items in its gift shop that would be suitable for goodie bags. Contact us to discuss the many options available.
