Forensics for Adults - Past Workshops

Why should kids have all the fun?

The Vancouver Police Museum is proud to announce its newest workshop series: Forensics for Adults. Running in January 2011, these one-hour evening workshops each focus on a different area of the forensic sciences in a definitively adult-oriented way. (Because of the (occasionally) graphic nature of the material we will be presenting, adults only please.)

Fingerprints
This hour-long workshop will look at how we collect, analyze and store fingerprints.

This hour-long workshop will look at the messy (and precise) work of bloodstain pattern analysis.

Forensic Pathology
This hour-long workshop will explore, in detail, how autopsies are performed and how information can be gathered from a body to determine cause of death or solve a crime.

Coroner's Court
This hour-long session will explore the unusual history of the building that is now home to the Vancouver Police Museum.

Ballistics
This hour-long workshop will look at the kinds of evidence investigators use when a firearm may have been involved in a crime.

Workshops run twice each evening, at 6:30pm and at 8:00pm; the museum and gift shop will be open to workshop participants for a half-hour before and after their session. Reservations are required and are non-transferable; ticket sales will only be available online.no tickets will be available in-person at the museum or by phone.
